Les Moineaux (The Sparrows) and Le Nid du Moineau (The Sparrow's Nest) are 150 year old houses in the quiet village of Brouzet les Alès.

Les Moineaux is the second house on the right. Little has changed in Brouzet!
 
It is close to the beautiful historic town of Uzès and the renowned hill village of Lussan.
 
Brouzet les Alès is 1 hour from the Mediterranean with its' stunning beaches and superb seafood.
 
Brouzet is well connected with four airports (Nîmes, Avignon, Montpellier and Marseille) serving the UK. Alternatively the Eurostar/TGV stations at Avignon and Nîmes are close by. The Autoroute du Sud (A7) is also within easy reach (Junc. 19 - Bollène).
 
Situated in the Gard region of France, this area offers stunning scenery. To the west are the Cévennes mountains, snow capped in winter. To the north is the Ardèche region with spectacular gorges and the cool river offering bathing & canoeing. To the south is the Camargue and the Mediterranean and to the east is Provence and La Vaucluse with its' well known attractions.
 
If you love good food, wonderful scenery with a great climate and are thinking of a vacation in the South of France then this is the region for you. Spring and Autumn are particularly delightful times of the year here.
 
Brouzet les Alès is a quiet village with a bar and a good boulangerie/patisserie. There is a fromagerie where you can buy fresh goat's cheese (pélardon) and the wine co-operative is nearby for the essential warm red and cool rosé wines. The local wine is notionally within the Côtes du Rhône wine region.
 
More extensive shopping can be done in the markets and supermarkets of nearby  Alès , Uzès  (Wednesday & especially Saturday) or Barjac (Friday). A visit to at least one of these markets is a "must do".
